Life Extension appears to over standardize their product. This might sound good at first, but it’s not. Over standardization can damage the fucoidan molecules. Fucoidan Force™ attention to balanced standardization protects the fragile fucoidan polymer from being chopped up. With Fucoidan Force™, you get more standardized undamaged fucoidan, plus 250 mg of Reishi mushroom for a few dollars more. Yes! Fucoidan Force™ is the best deal.
Review
Life Extension Fucoidan is made from wakame sourced from Atlantic waters. Their fucoidan is a distant runner-up to my first pick, Fucoidan Force™, for three main reasons. It does not contain an efficacy booster, it only has just 88.5 mg of fucoidan per capsule, and it is over standardized which renders the fucoidan polymers less effective. To avoid chopping up the fucoidan polymers too finely, the ideal standardization levels should be between 45 – 50%.
I love that they openly share their supplement facts but I do wish the company included an efficacy booster in the formula to enhance the effectiveness of the fucoidan. Also, since the quality is mostly there, I’d like to see a higher dose of effective standardized fucoidan for the price.
Conclusion: Although I really love the fact that Life Extension chose to make their product with quality sustainable ingredients, you get a better deal by far without sacrificing quality by going with Fucoidan Force™.
